Adult Residential Homes

Our goal at Highpointe Care is to create comfortable homes for individuals with special needs so they can thrive in the environment of their choosing. Shelter is a basic need of life for everyone including individuals with special needs. Individuals that come to our residential homes do not find only shelter; they are assured of getting the sort of love and care that they have hardly been able to find elsewhere. Our team of service providers comprises staff members who are well trained to provide tender loving care to individuals as it suits their respective needs. Care is administered to individuals on a 24-hour basis in our residential homes.

Individuals at Highpointe residential homes receive a full package of customized care services which include but are not limited to accommodation, meals, emotional support, leisure/play/relaxation activities, personalized care, and life skills training.

Accommodation - Our comfortable residential homes are the hub of every personalized care that individuals receive. Our residential homes are designed -both physically and otherwise – to have all the trappings of a regular home. They are crafted like actual homes, and family settings are provided for individuals to thrive in a loving, community-focused environment where each individual finds a real family made up of our well-trained professional, courteous service providers (employees) and fellow residents.

Meals – Our homes boast decent catering teams that make sure individuals are well fed. Dietary requirements of each individual are given due attention, and like every other thing we do, food is served with love and care -in a timely manner – and everyone is fed according to their peculiar needs – dietary requirements and individual food preferences.

Emotional Support - Emotional support is the business of Highpointe! One of the main underlying reasons that we have set up residential homes is the provision of emotional support. Everything revolves around the provision of support to the very special cherished individuals that come through our doors. Whatever the needs of individuals may be, we work hard to ensure that they get the specific sort of emotional support their specific needs demand. Our team members are trained to be compassionate and patient in delivering bespoke emotional support to individuals, which is the main reason they come to us in the first place.

Personalized Care – Individuals’ needs vary; personalities vary; life experiences vary. Everyone has a unique story and a unique personal constitution! Therefore, it is very important to us to, firstly, understand the needs of each individual and then provide customized care suiting these identified needs.

Life Skills Training – At Highpointe, we teach social skills and self-help skills including but not limited to administering first aid and CPR, personal hygiene and cleanliness, social interaction skills, traffic safety rules, etc. We even teach them, where suitable, to do personal chores like tidying their living quarters and doing a bit of laundry. In imparting life skills, we aim to help individuals adjust to normal social life as efficiently as possible. In teaching them a measure of independence, we try to help remove limitations in their way and help them to think of themselves as no less human, no less normal, than other members of society.

Leisure/Play/Relaxation Activities – Our homes are fitted with homes that suit the relaxation requirement of individuals. There are televisions with subscribed viewing services, sports equipment, board games, etc. all of which are meant to be relaxation tools for individuals. Leisure activities are a major way the bonding and community aims of Highpointe are achieved. Leisure activities are a significant way in which individuals’ bond with staff members and fellow residents, thereby feeling like a part of a vibrant community where love and care are the watchwords.
