About Highpointe Care

Highpointe Care is a person-centered service provider supporting adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). We offer individualized services that promote independence, community inclusion, employment, creative expression, residential living, and lifelong personal growth.
We support adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities who are eligible for services through California’s Regional Center system and other approved funding sources.
We focus on the individual rather than the disability. Every service is tailored to the person’s goals, strengths, interests, and support needs. Our philosophy emphasizes dignity, choice, inclusion, and meaningful community participation.
Our “Without Walls” philosophy means services extend beyond traditional program settings. We help individuals learn, work, socialize, and grow within their communities rather than limiting services to a single location.

Behavioral Day Program

Our Behavioral Day Program helps individuals build emotional regulation, communication, self-care, social interaction, community participation, vocational readiness, and independent living skills through structured, person-centered activities.
Participants develop essential life skills including emotional regulation, positive behavior skills, verbal and non-verbal communication, self-care routines, community safety, leisure skills, self-advocacy, vocational readiness, and everyday daily living.
We use Positive Behavior Support (PBS), individualized interventions, skill-building, encouragement, and person-centered strategies that teach new skills while respecting each individual’s dignity.
Yes. Community integration is a core component of our Behavioral Day Program. Participants practice everyday skills in real community settings such as stores, parks, libraries, restaurants, and local events.
Creative Arts Program

Our Employment Services assist individuals through career exploration, personalized employment planning, job readiness training, employer partnerships, paid internships, job placement, and ongoing job coaching.
The Paid Internship Program provides eligible participants with paid work experience in community businesses while developing practical job skills that prepare them for long-term competitive integrated employment.
Yes. Dedicated job coaches provide individualized workplace support beginning with initial onboarding and continuing as needed to help participants achieve independence and success on the job.

Adult Residential Homes

Eligibility & Enrollment

Most services are available to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities who qualify through California’s Regional Center system or other approved funding programs.
Simply contact Highpointe Care or speak with your Regional Center Service Coordinator. Our intake team will discuss your goals, explain available services, and guide you step-by-step through enrollment.
Absolutely. Families are invaluable partners in person-centered planning and are warmly encouraged to participate throughout the service planning and review process.
Person-centered care means every service is designed around the individual’s goals, preferences, strengths, and choices. Goals are created collaboratively with the individual, family, Regional Center coordinator, and support team.
Safety is built into every service through emergency preparedness, vehicle maintenance, and ongoing staff training in person-centered practices, positive behavior support, CPR/First Aid, and state regulatory compliance.
